Launching CATCH Plus with free education eLearning course

As part of this initiative, we are offering a new eLearning course aimed at helping education professionals support all pupils who have experienced trauma.

CATCH Plus is our latest initiative to enhance the resources available to the CATCH community. Available free for a limited time, our first CATCH Plus release offers education professionals who are already CATCH members access to our brand-new eLearning course:

Becoming a trauma-aware school – Strategies for supporting all learners

Developed and delivered by Laura Purser, Academic Programme Director of BA Primary Education QTS at The University of Reading, is a powerful five-module course which will guide education professionals through trauma-aware approaches to help transform the school environment.

Modules cover topics such as:

• Polyvagal theory and its practical classroom applications
• Attachment theory and behaviour strategies
• Executive functioning and neurodiversity
• The power of play and purposeful curriculum design
• Staff wellbeing and sustainable support practices

Whether you’re a teacher, SENCO, or school leader, this course is your opportunity to embed trauma-aware practices that empower every pupil — and support the wellbeing of your entire school community.

CATCH Plus is available free to all education professionals in the CATCH network until 31 December 2025.
