CATCH offers a wealth of information and resources relevant to adoptive parents whether you are in the initial stages of the adoption process or have been a parent for many years. Our resources complement adopter training to provide a richer understanding of children who have experienced adverse childhood experiences and life as an adoptive family. We also cover key topics relevant to adoptive parents including child development, education, behaviour, contact and much more.
“One of the best things about CATCH is to hear information from other adoptive parents, parenting an adoptive child is so different to average parenting and if you haven’t adopted it’s hard to understand its difficulties.“ – Adopter

On CATCH you’ll find information and support on a huge range of topics. We work closely with our Hub community and your feedback ensures that we are covering the issues that are important to you.
These modular courses include Attachment and your children presented by Dr Georgina Hibbert, Putting PACE into practice and modules on life story work, identity, attachment and transracial adoption.
Attend a live webinar or choose from our extensive library to view a webinar at a time that suits you. Webinars are hosted by subject experts such as clinical psychologists, therapists, occupational therapists and adopters themselves. We have also have video interviews with adopters, adopted adults and family members sharing their experience of adoption, including single, same-sex and mixed heritage adopters.
We know how time pressed adopters are, so we’ve recently launched podcasts and audio interviews to give you more flexibility to listen to our resources around your busy lives. These cover topics such as education, homework and introductions and are regularly updated.
Our resources cover topics relevant to adopters whether you are in the initial stages of the adoption process or have been an adoptive parent for many years. Topics include attachment and trauma, contact, life story, managing behaviours, health and wellbeing, education and more…
Adopters have access to their own forum, a completely anonymous space to share ideas, experience and support. You can also contact one of our trained adopter peer supporters. They are all ‘experts by experience’ and are here to support you.
Please note these are only available for adopters who have access to CATCH through their adoption agency.
