How to use CATCH for your training

Why use CATCH for your adopter training?

  • Download a certificate after completing a video, audio or webinar, giving you evidence of learning to take to panel.
  • Builds on your adopter training, helping you make confident and informed decisions during the matching process.
For example: if you complete a resource on sibling groups or early permanence, you’ll be better equipped to decide whether those types of matches feel right for you.
  • Deepens your understanding of adoption and the experiences that bring children to the adoption journey.
For example: explore children’s life stories, reasons they enter care, and how developmental trauma impacts emotions and behaviour.
  • Strengthens your knowledge of therapeutic parenting so you feel as prepared as possible for welcoming your new family.
